All of a sudden, people all over the world have disappeared, leaving their clothes behind. There are several theories to what happened to those people. Some believe that aliens have taken the people away. Others believe that something to do with nuclear weapons and people’s body types caused some people to disappear. Others know the answer though. They know that Jesus came back to Earth to take his faithful followers to Heaven, leaving everyone else behind.
After I read Left Behind, by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, I knew that I did not want the same thing to happen to me. I wanted to be ready when Jesus came back. As it says in Matthew 24:36, No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Many people have tried to predict when the world will end but none have been successful. The world did not end with the Mayan calendar in 2012. It also did not end in May of 2011 like someone else predicted. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him (Matthew 24:44).
So how do you assure your future? It is actually very easy. You can actually not be saved by good works because All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23). Since none of us our perfect, there is only one way to Heaven. As John 3:16 says, for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. All you have to do is accept the forgiveness Jesus gave for all sins through his death on the cross. Then, surrender your life to Him. It is that easy. It also guarantees your future in Heaven. If you are ready to have a relationship with Christ, pray to God, telling Him that you are a sinner and know that Jesus in the only way to Heaven. Do not wait too long. Waiting to make the most important decision of your life can have eternal consequences.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God (Revelations 2:7).
