My New Shoes

A couple days ago, I got new shoes. They are not brand new, but they are new to me. I got them for five dollars at the secondhand store. They do not look brand new, but they are in still pretty good shape. They do not look like they have been worn very much.

I was very pleased with my inexpensive shoes. I worked with someone that had to wait to be paid so that they could buy a pair of shoes that cost about one hundred dollars. I have a feeling that our shoes are going to last about the same amount of time.

Why spend a ton of money on something like shoes? As long as they cover your feet and protect them from sharp objects or from getting wet, than they are doing their job. I may not have shoes that cost one hundred dollars, but are people really going to be spending much time looking at your feet?
